A Confession in Tanka

~

Exhilarating,
That time, when I stabbed the sky,
The world slept in peace,
The horizon bled to dawn,
And I killed, sleeplessly, the night.

  7. Beautiful! And it’s cool to see the tanka form! I feel like I see haiku fairly often, but I haven’t seen many tanka verses.
