It’s been another week down in my poetry writing challenge. This week has been even more challenging and demanding for me, through its challenges. For a particular prompt I even had to write a limerick, which is way away from my writing style. However, words I never knew were in me, have found their way out and I already have my favourites from this week.
Meanwhile, here is my poetry from week 2. Take your time to read it and tell me which one is your favourite. Even rank them if you will. Feel free to write poetry on any of the topics from the prompts, and don’t forget to create a ping back back to me!
Day 8: Writing a collaborative poem. It was difficult to find someone, but I’m glad one of my friends helped me out.Day 9: Using a line of a song as an epigraph. I used a line from the song ‘Somebody else’ from Flora Cash. They are wonderful upcoming artists.Day 11: Writing a seven line poem that starts with the line “It’s true that fresh air is good for the body” (As in Frank O’ Hara’s ‘Ave Maria’).Day 12: Writing a poem in 21 questions. I never knew poetry becomes so much more intriguing through questions. Day 13: Writing a poem incorporating the words- pistachio, pebble, ink, weather, vanish. Now this one gave me trouble.
