The sky is a poem,
Painted in vibrant rhyme,
It cries in gentle metaphors,
That drench me time to time.
All its hues are varied moods,
In its colors bright and bold,
Are underlying similes,
And narratives untold.
It blushes in crimson allegory,
Through sun kissed golden odes,
And merges into bleaker nights,
And snowy, pallid roads.
An embodiment of elegies,
It lists to this refrain,
Of melancholy epigraphs,
By falling like the rain.
The clouds that grace this varied verse,
They know no birth or death,
In every minute that I do live,
They’re coalesced in my breath.
I do not know who the poet is,
But I do know certainly,
That every time I peruse the sky,
A poem smiles at me.

Lovely.
If IĆ¢ĀĀd written it, I would edit two lines just a little for a smoother read/more natural tone:
Instead of–
In every minute that I do live, They’re coalesced in my breath.
IĆ¢ĀĀd have said–
In every minute that I live
They coalesce in my breath.
Continuing to enjoy your work! BES

Thank you so very much B! I truly appreciate the wonderful feedback. Thank you so much for the suggestion. It actually makes a lot of sense that way too, perhaps a poet needs an outside opinion sometimes. He can get too carried away sometimes. Thank you so much greatly.

Great stuff mate. The sky, so ripe for beautiful description and wonder and personalisation of the magic we see in it, maybe even more so in the night sky.
We are but humble tiny things beneath it. THAT is the influence I hope most to have on other writers, to not be afraid of the grand things and the intense descriptions – the mountains and oceans and volcanoes and castles and undying love and aching pain. But you already knew these things and I am the humble tiny thing beneath your sky of talent. Great respect to you mate!

I cannot describe the joy this comment brings me mate. I am amazed by the sheer kindness you have shown me. I am just awed.
It means so much to know that you think of this poem such highly and it brings me satisfaction as a writer whose sole purpose is to touch as many souls as he can.
There are a great lot of infinities around us. Capturing them in poetry just so little validates our life among them, but the fact that we have words to write of all the beauty of this world, gives us strength and a much needed encouragement. Thank you so much mate. You might have just made my day. Cheers.
