I brood over the fact,
Eternity to be precise,
If eternity accompanies,
In life and demise.
Death doesn’t wait for any,
Nor the infant in the womb,
How long can eternity stand itself,
In its eternal tomb.
If it exists it always does,
The most precious all around,
Timelessness might be radiating wisdom,
Waiting to be found.
If eternity doesn’t stick to time,
How long has it been there,
Trapped in its perpetuity,
With eternity to bear?
‘Forever’ translates to eternity,
‘Love you forever’ we say,
Is eternity locked in death,
For it comes by anyway.
Eternity could be light years far,
In the endless sky,
It’s likely daunting upon us,
Or a complete lie!
Time hasn’t caused any trouble,
At least hasn’t taken away the glee,
But it certainly is perplexing how eternal,
Eternity can be!

Beautifully thoughtful Shanyu, as you ask the age old question..”How long is eternity”? I love how you did this in an easy rhyming style, that felt flowing and not forced, but very natural… In this time in the world, I think many of us are pondering eternity in all its mysteries.. Your poem has done that so well..!.

Hi. That is one of the best things I’ve read today. I am more than grateful. I have to say, I love rhyme and I’m so glad it seems to work here. It is an age old question (or should I say eternal?). Have a fantastic day.

Good day, Mr. Shanyu Bihani
thank you for your poem.
My answer:
The eternity
it becomes apparent
in every breath
it lies in the subjective moment
death has what is alive
not in his grip
that die and will
the resurrection
at the moment of awakening
in every child
after his birth
wisdom is theirs
who are looking for it
but life
is really
a gift to all of us
when consciousness dies
still before
it in its fabric
back expires
I’m back there
before the great mother
in a cry of blood
put me on earth
the time in being
before and after
the darkness
in nothing
the cosmos is not eternal
like man himself
the universe dies
long after
if it’s man
no longer exists
the most precious is the memory
in bodily experience
the event
inside and outside
the one world
forever
is a blink of an eye
the grief
of joy
his own being
that of the other
in this wonderful world
the truth
we all don’t know them
the lie is the detour
yourself about
what one is
his destiny
become unaware
to want
Light years are the soul
before the beginning
and to the end
her a moment
Best regards

Lovely! It does make my mind reel to contemplate eternity, though in some ways, I find the concept reassuring. Eternity provides a balance to the cycle of creation and decay that leads to many mortal anxieties.

Thank you so very much! I am very glad to know you liked it. Eternity is certainly very perplexing. I don’t know if it provides any reassurance to me, becuase everything seems to spiral into a great mess of things up there. What I do agree with is that eternity certainly provides a wonderful balance in the great design.

Great post mate, I won’t pretend I know when time may have started, or will end (if either can be defined). I have noticed in expression and creative writing that the time-line of eternity is often connected with our mortal lifespans.
Like:
‘I will love you forever’
‘I will always stand up for you’
‘If you’ve got my back in the darkest hours, I’ve got yours for the rest of your life’
And so on and so forth, a wonderful tool of expression and referring to our personal eternity. Such a cool subject for posting or just consideration, based upon scientific ideas or personal views or anything in between.
Thanks mate!

Wow. Thank you so very much mate. Some of the things you’ve said are truly ones to think about.
In fact there is such great material that delves into the subject of timelessness. I wonder it comes into being, since we can hardly make sense of time to delve into timelessness!
It is a clearly perplexing topic, I can say. While we might not be actually anywhere near the truth, discussions never hurt.
Well, wishing you eternal joy! Cheers.

From what I gather, eternity, or consciousness if you will, is not alone. It has created us to experience itself. And ultimately, our job is to realize consciousness.

That is certainly a wonderful way to look at eternity/consciousness. We can only limit ourselves to the fact that we are asking questions to which we might never an answer. Thank you so much for your time and consideration. Have an eternally wonderful day.
