Written in eternity

Stab me and prod me,
And clip both my wings,
Hurt me and mute me,
And burn all my things.

Stab me and prod me,
But just know my name,
‘Coz when I will rise back,
I’ll be doing the same.

~

Hurt me and mute me,
But watch as I grow,
From ashes to fire,
A fire on snow.

~

Come now and get me,
Vaporise me with pain,
You think you can break me,
But I’ll be back with the rain.

Wow. Just wow. This is such an intelligent work of art. I specifically love how you used the two main lines together in the first verse and then segregated them in the next two verses— this poem is very beautiful, eloquent and intelligent!

  9. Inspiring verses! I especially like the promise of the last line. No matter what people think of rain, whether they embrace it or villainize it, they can’t stop it’s return.
