That day we sat so carelessly,
Gazing at the sun,
And when the forest in ashes rose,
What could we do but run?
That day we paced so much in trance,
All caught up in that mind,
And when the icy castles fell,
Who said we had no time?
Mistakes from that day, Oh my!
So many did we make,
And when we fall now on our knees,
I hope we stay awake!
For the barren can be green again,
The grey skies can be blue,
And when the world must stand as one,
All life shall bloom anew.
Tear down those walls you’ve built inside,
And let them fall like rain,
Face the day that now will rise,
There’re ways to be good again!
